Overview
Quod advised Otterpool Park LLP on the development of Otterpool Park, a new garden settlement in Kent. It is proposed that the new garden settlement will comprise up to 8,500 homes along with retail, commercial, education, health, community uses and associated infrastructure.

Quod provided strategic, planning, socio-economic, development economic and environmental advice to promote the new settlement.
OUR ROLE
Quod worked with the design team to develop the proposals and have held extensive pre-application discussions with the local planning authority and other key stakeholders. Quod also promoted the allocation of the new settlement through various stages of the then emerging Local Plan and represented the client at the local plan examination. Quod prepared and submitted an outline planning application for the proposals which gained a resolution to grant planning consent at planning committee, as well as leading the Section 106 negotiations.

Quod led the planning strategy, promoting the site through the local plan process, coordinated the outline application, prepared the Development Specification, managed stakeholder negotiations and played a key part in negotiating the section 106 agreement. Our teams also advised on housing strategy, community facilities and reviews of technical environmental submissions, ensuring a robust, flexible and deliverable planning framework.
