Michelle Burns

Michelle is a chartered town planner with a strong background in stakeholder engagement and the consenting of major infrastructure projects. She provides planning and consenting advice to clients at all stages of the project lifecycle with experience spanning across the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. Prior to joining Quod, she was the Deputy Negotiations Lead on the Lower Thames Crossing project – the largest highways scheme since the M25.

Her effective communication and leadership skills backed by sound technical competence have contributed to the smooth planning and delivery of projects. She’s known for maintaining her calm and resilient demeanor in all situations and thrives when navigating novel planning issues.

Away from her desk, Michelle spends her time daydreaming about the next adventure abroad, and exploring the various beer gardens and wine bars that London has to offer.
