We are proud of what we do, and we deliberately do not focus on any specific type of land use or in any specific part of the country. This experience gives us a strong foundation of relevant projects to draw upon when working towards our clients’ commercial objectives.
We advise on projects at all stages, from initial advice at project inception, site appraisals and Local Plan site promotion through to the preparation of applications and achieving consents. We have significant experience in post-consent amendments and strategies, helping our clients to best realise their aspirations where projects need to respond to market change or where new opportunities emerge.
Through our successes we are established leaders that deliver across multiple consenting regimes to deliver planning permissions via the Town and Country Planning Act, Transport and Works Act Orders and Development Consent Orders (see Infrastructure). Our prominence allows us to also guide the direction of the regimes themselves at a national level through involvement in policy creation.
Our company values and focus on integrity are enshrined in our work. We deliver excellence and we take pride in what we do. We provide honest, incisive advice on the prospects of success and how those prospects can be improved. Occasionally it also means that, if appropriate, we will advise not to proceed. We help clients with those difficult decisions, and we work with them to implement them in a way that adds most value and achieves the best possible outcomes.
The wide-ranging nature of our planning work has supported our experience in advising on large-scale urban regeneration and estate regeneration projects across the UK.
As part of our regeneration work, we support developers and local authorities through the plan-making process to help ensure that projects have the robust policy support and planning permissions they need to help withstand legal challenge. We have a highly commercial approach, but we also understand the need for meaningful engagement with communities, stakeholders and decision makers to achieve support for development proposals.
