Western Field & Dickens Trough Meadow
Quod secured full planning permission on behalf of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC), for the construction of a new educational and environmental centre on land adjoining their existing training centre. The site is located within the Green Belt, the Forty Hill Conservation Area and partially within a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation.
The facility will ensure delivery of the Club’s community-based obligations connected with their Training Centre, including the provision of a community-based programme for coaching and associated office accommodation.
Collectively, the scheme will provide a new multifunctional building for education, sports and leisure uses, alongside a multi-use sports pitch. They will also establish a new local nature reserve within Dickens Trough Meadow.
Quod coordinated and negotiated the planning application for the development and secured full planning permission in December 2018. This included providing robust justifications to support new development in the Green Belt that would be sensitively located to existing heritage assets in the locality.
Quod continue to advise THFC on the planning aspects of the design development process, alongside the conditions discharge stages of the project.
