Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth

Acting on behalf of Landsec, Quod has secured planning permission for the change of use of a former department store at Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth to a variety of leisure uses (Class E and sui generis), despite this being contrary to adopted policy.

The proposal will bring much greater diversity to the shopping centre’s offer, allowing it to appeal to a wider demographic. It will also address a lack of leisure provision in Wandsworth, particularly for families. The result will be increased footfall that will benefit existing retailers, the shopping centre and the town centre as a whole.
