Silvertown Tunnel

Quod acted as strategic planning advisor to Transport for London (TfL) on the Silvertown Tunnel project – seeking to provide a new road to cross the River Thames, connecting the Greenwich Peninsula with Silvertown.

Quod were instructed to lead the drafting of key documents for the DCO application.  Quod also advised on scheme selection and the reviewing of alternatives, alongside how environmental impacts could be limited. During the DCO Examination Quod acted as Expert Witness during Issue Specific Hearings and led on the review and drafting of responses to questions from key stakeholders and the Planning Inspectorate.  The Development Consent Order (DCO) application was granted in May 2019.
