Land at Howard of Effingham School, Guildford

Quod acted on behalf of Berkeley Homes (Southern) and The Howard Partnership Trust to secure planning permission at appeal for the development of a replacement secondary school and 295 new homes. The Secretary of State allowed the appeal, determining that the chronic shortage of housing in Guilford and the poor condition of an important school were sufficient in combination to create the necessary very special circumstances for the proposed development in the green belt.
