Axis Square, Birmingham

Quod was instructed by London and Continental Railways to submit plans for the phased redevelopment of The Axis, an 11-storey 1970s-era office block. The site lies between some key locations and schemes in Birmingham city centre including Arena Central, the Mailbox, Centenary Square and New Street Station. The vision was to dramatically improve connections between these sites via a new landscaped public square at the centre of a high-quality office-led scheme. The final consented development will bring 114,000sqm of new office space, 3,900sqm of retail and a 23-storey tower, as well as high-quality public realm.
