Quod promotes Karen Muldowney to Director
The Directors of Quod are delighted to announce that Karen Muldowney has been promoted to Director.
Since joining Quod in 2011, Karen has led on Quod’s EIA work and has built up her own team enabling Quod to offer a complete package of planning-related services, adding significant value to Quod’s offer.
Karen has shown excellent leadership and project management skills, and has developed strong relationships with many of Quod’s key clients including EDF Energy, Barratt Homes, Lend Lease and many others.
She has successfully contributed to positive outcomes on a variety of projects across all sectors, including significant infrastructure projects such as the Hinkely Point C Nuclear Power Station, as well as numerous high profile urban regeneration schemes throughout the UK. More recently she provided strategic EIA advice for the Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station for Horizons Nuclear Power, and currently leads the EIA on a number of large, high-profile schemes including an urban extension in Harlow for Places for People (10,000 homes) and mixed use-developments for British Land, Lend Lease and Meadow Partners.
Karen is respected internally and within the industry for her commercial and strategic approach to EIA, which compliments Quod’s other key services. Her involvement on projects, including providing solid, objective advice on environmental planning issues, has helped contribute to Quod’s strong track record of success.
Karen is an active member of IEMA. She also recently represented the British Property Federation at round table discussions led by DCLG (by invite only) regarding the transposition of the EIA Directive into national legislation.
