Quod’s Tim Waring to speak at this week’s ATCM Summer School
Tim Waring will be amongst a range of guest speakers at this week’s ATCM Summer School in Leeds, and will be on the panel of experts looking at the future for economic development in our town centres in an era of significant change to local government finance.
The Panel of Experts includes:
- Cllr Peter Box (Wakefield Council, Chair of the Leeds City Region Leaders Board, Chair of the LGA’s Economy, Environment, Housing and Transport Board and, Chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.)
- Christine Reeves, Director of a retail planning consultancy
- Tom Bridges, Chief Economic Development Officer for Leeds Council
The session will be chaired by Alexander Nicoll, Chairman of ATCM and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Intu Shopping Centres. The session will be addressed by either Marcus Jones MP (Minister for Town Centres) or James Wharton MP (Minister for the Northern Powerhouse and Local Growth) on government policy that affects town centres.
Tim has been invited to join the Panel given the important role planning plays in enabling and shaping economic development.
