Quod planning success - Chiswick High Road

Quod secured a resolution to grant planning permission at Hounslow Planning Committee for Lend Lease’s proposed development on Chiswick High Road.

The development of Chiswick High Road and the surrounding area, designed by Assael Architecture, will provide 137 new homes, together with 8,783 square feet of improved retail space and significant enhancements to the public realm along Essex Place. The site partially lies within the Turnham Green Conservation Area and is currently dominated by an outdated office block which will be converted into new residential accommodation and sensitively re-clad to better complement the local area.

Quod advised Lend Lease on the planning strategy for the site from initial bid stage through to determination and also provided affordable housing support resulting in the provision of 16 on-site affordable homes and the inclusion of a review mechanism.

Following conclusion of successful s106 negotiations, construction is expected to start later in 2015.
