Quod Achieves Quality Standard for EIA Service
Quod is delighted to have been awarded the EIA Quality Mark, an accreditation scheme that sets high standards for EIA practice within the UK and demonstrates commitment to excellence in EIA activities. The Quality Mark scheme is administered by IEMA, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
To achieve the EIA Quality Mark, Quod underwent an independent review of past Environmental Statements, internal processes and systems. In IEMA’s review, Quod were commended for facilitating and encouraging knowledge sharing, as well as their efforts to ensure that EIAs are proportionate and effectively scoped.
Elin Fradgley (Environmental Planning Director) said “We are delighted to achieve the IEMA Quality Mark as recognition of our quality approach to EIA as well as our team’s dedication to excellence and continual improvement. Applied effectively, we firmly believe the EIA process is able to add value for clients in real terms and helps deliver higher-quality, consentable schemes with viable, robust consents.”
By choosing Quod, clients can be assured of a quality service which has been independently reviewed. Under new EIA Regulations in force on 17th May 2017, Environmental Statements will need to include evidence that they have been prepared by persons with sufficient expertise to ensure completeness and quality.
