Quod 20 compete in JLL Property Triathlon and Duathlon
In the blistering heat on Friday, a strong team of twenty from Quod took part in the annual JLL Property Triathlon and Duathlon. Joining a field of over 3,500 competitors to swim, cycle, run and run again their way around Dorney Lake in Windsor. This was the ninth year the even has taken place, attracting competitors for all over the property industry. Over this time, the event has raised over 1.3 million for charity, the 2015 chosen charity was the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The Duathlon was new to the event proceedings this year. Made up of a 5km run, 21km cycle and another cheeky 2.5km run to finish off, the duathlon was a popular choice for those that don’t like to get their feet wet. Overcoming some testing mechanical issues, Angie Fenton was the fastest of the Quod crew to cross the line, completing the course in 1:27:44.
In the triathlon the fastest Quod man over the line was Tom Woolner with a hugely impressive time of 1:15:47, a PB for Tom and an excellent achievement. Charlotte Mitchell was the fastest Quod lady over the line in 1:23:40, finishing eighth in her category, yet Issy Fateh was hot on her heels finishing a mere 27 seconds behind her. We had two relay teams taking part this year, first of which over the line was Anjuli Sethi, Liz Cheyne and Vicky Lochead.
Becoming an increasingly popular fixture in the Quod sporting calendar, this year we had the usual regulars returning hoping to improve on their times last year, but also some new recruits taking the plunge for the first time. Let’s hope they’ve been bitten by the bug and will be back again next year.
