Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Awards
We are pleased to announce that East Wick & Sweetwater (EW+S) (Phase 1) has been shortlisted for the RTPI London Awards for Planning Excellence 2023 and Chobham Manor is a RIBA London Award 2023 Winner!
Both projects form part of the Legacy Communities Scheme, delivering the first new neighbourhoods in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with long-term objectives to ensure sustainable, mixed and balanced communities that maximise the Olympic Legacy. The Quod team have been involved since the Olympic Games bid in 2003 and have played central roles in driving the development.
Quod is proud to have been the planning lead on Chobham Manor from the zonal masterplan stage in 2013 through reserved matters applications and approval of details. The RIBA London award is a testament to the quality of the design and vision, resulting in an innovative and high-quality family housing-led development.
Quod led the submission and coordination of the EW+S Zonal Masterplans, NMA and RMA applications to secure approval of a mixed-use community comprising 1,850 homes and complementary retail, business, community space and landscape. The 302 fully occupied Phase 1 homes (43% affordable and 47% family) and supporting retail, employment and social infrastructure are of exceptional design quality, with the masterplan ensuring that the development will be inclusive and genuinely affordable to local people.
