Teamwork Delivers Major Planning Success at Meadowhall, Sheffield
Quod North’s Planning Team, along with their Socio-Economic and Environmental colleagues, have recently secured planning consent for a major extension to Meadowhall.
Advising British Land on one of the most significant regeneration projects in the Sheffield City Region, Quod co-ordinated the planning application for a 50,000 sqm expansion of the regional shopping centre which will deliver a step change in the leisure and food and beverage offer, as well as further retail.
In addition to strategic planning advice, and leading the negotiations with the local planning authority (Sheffield City Council), Quod’s services included: (1) agency for the application, (2) retail and leisure impact analysis, (3) socio economic impact analysis, and (4) co-ordinating the environmental impact assessment.
This significant success was achieved with support from BDP, PBA, Arcadis, WSP and Town Legal amongst others.
