First phase of former Yorkshire Post site approved
Quod have secured reserved matters consent for the first phase of the regeneration of the former Yorkshire Post site in Leeds.
The scheme will deliver 242 ‘Build to Rent’ apartments which will be operated by Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord.
The building will provide high quality, purpose built, rented accommodation in the City Centre, stepping up from 11 storeys fronting the River Aire up to 18 storeys to the north. The first phase will also deliver a significant amount of public realm and will catalyse further investment in the further regeneration of this key site, which benefits from outline planning consent for office and commercial use.
The approval came just days before the Government announced further support for the Build to Rent sector and the vital role it will play in addressing the nation’s housing crisis.
