First RMA approval for Brent Cross Cricklewood
The Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration scheme reached an exciting milestone last week when Members of London Borough of Barnet’s planning committee approved the first Reserved Matters Application for Phase 1A North.
Outline planning consent was granted in 2010 for the 151 ha site and a Section 73 permission for modifications to the scheme was secured in 2014.
The scheme will create a new town centre incorporating a transformed Brent Cross Shopping Centre, over 100,000sqm of retail floorspace, 7,500 new homes, 300,000sqm of office floorspace, community uses, leisure uses, as well as substantial public realm and infrastructure improvements.
Quod will be submitting further Reserved Matters Applications on behalf of the Brent Cross Cricklewood Development Partners (Hammerson PLC and Standard Life) over the coming weeks.
