Ashdene House, Egham

Quod has recently secured planning consent for the redevelopment of Ashdene House, Englefield Green, Egham. The proposals were submitted on behalf of Runnymede Borough Council’s Regeneration Department.

Permission was granted for the demolition of the existing now vacant former sheltered accommodation building, and the subsequent erection of a replacement building to provide 26 residential units. A total of 4 affordable units were provided as part of the proposals, and Quod successfully utilised Vacant Building Credit as part of the scheme negotiations. The permission enables Runnymede Borough Council to regenerate an important site in their portfolio, bringing forward much needed housing in the Borough.

Quod worked alongside Runnymede Borough Council to develop the proposals, along with Fraiser Brown McKenna (Architects) and Playle and Partners (Project Manager). Work is anticipated to start on the site in Summer 2019.
