Our clients appreciate our honest, early advice and our approach of ensuring that the consultant team working on the EIA are very much engaged in the design process. We work with the project team to identify planning risks and ensure early design reviews focus on building-in mitigation where appropriate.
Quod has achieved ‘EIA Quality Mark’ status with the Institute of Management and Assessment (IEMA). This accolade demonstrates our competence in EIA leadership, management and delivery, as well as our ongoing commitment to advancing excellence in the field.
Quod are engaged by a number of Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) as an ‘expert reviewer’, advising LPA Planning Officers on omissions in the planning application, ES and areas of risk. This experience has provided our team with excellent working relationship with officers within these LPAs and we believe our advice has been respected and valued. This knowledge has been particularly useful in pre-empting potential EIA risk points and for fostering productive engagement with LPAs throughout the EIA process on numerous developments.
In addition, Quod is part of the Digital Steering Group which has been exploring how innovation and digital practices can bring about positive transformative change to EIA. The Digital Steering Group was Highly Commended within the ‘Consultancy and Collaboration’ category of the IEMA Sustainability Impact Awards 2020. A key part of this was delivery of the Digital Impact Assessment Primer, a milestone in the industry’s digital journey.
