Biopharmaceutical Factory, GSK, Ulverston, Cumbria

Quod is instructed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to prepare an outline planning application for a new biopharmaceutical factory on a 30 hectare site in Ulverston, South Lakeland. GSK has committed £350m to the project which was announced by David Cameron in the 2012 Budget Statement. The project will be the first new GSK manufacturing facility in the UK for almost 40 years.
